Chantelle's

our story.

Grant and his family came to town as pioneers way back in 1969. I moved to town in 1973 when my father was contracted to oversee the building of the new town of Dysart.

Grant worked on the construction of the new Moranbah State High School in Mills Ave and I was one of the first two students to go from Year 8 to Year 12.

From Utah Development Company to the multiple

companies that now work the coal mines around us, we have seen Moranbah's history unfold, including witnessing 40 years of young local adults make their debut at the Debutante Ball.

We've both had the good fortune of contributing to the community through our business and our 'participation in Moranbah's service clubs for over 40 years.

It's hard to believe, but before Chantelle's opened it's doors in 1997, Moranbah had never had a coffee shop. When we drew up the plans for the Garden Centre we thought it would be a service to the community to add one to this space. Now over drinks at Chantelle's we are proud to be amongst many of the towns great establishments as Moranbah's longest serving coffee shop.

Standing beside some of you from the very start, we continue to  welcome newcomers to our great community.  We are happy and proud to call Moranbah home.

We thank you. We couldn't have done it without your support.

A gift to our community
